Calum Ruadh, thats all, a crofter in the isle of Skye, in his sixty-sixth year, enjoying life as the best way he can, and very glad to see people coming to see him.
Thats who i am and as far as the world goes, i'm only a human being like anybody else.
Like, i like singing songs, i like composing songs and verses and all that, but anything apart from that, I'm no model, and I'm no angel either.
My fathers people were for generations crofters, and cottars. My mothers was too for the last two centuries back, they were crofters, they were- but they were of the MacLeod chieftains of Raasay.
